Anyone know where I can pick up a nice motorized/electric scooter for my daughter. Her 10th birthday is coming up and I want to get her a nice scooter. I don't want to spend more than $400. I saw some nice ones over at Koby's swap meet, but if it breaks, I would be S.O.L., so that is not an option. I checked some of the local toy stores, but their selection is pretty limited.

So, if anyone knows any spots where I can check 'em out, please let me know. And no, I do not want to buy off the internet.

TIA

Dude check out Chief Auto Parts or Auto Zone. They got a couple of those scooters there. If remember correctly there both below 400.00 maybe 250.00. Its the store next to Royal Mandarin. What happened to the one you rollin around on? Did you break it? Are you tryin to replace it now?

Doesn't Wal Mart, Target, or any of those stores carry them?

I think your best bet would be the swap meets, I know the one over here by spring valley has them all over the place and there is one guy that seems legit. He sells little harley look a likes and off road scooters and all kinds of others for around the price you are looking for. I've seen him there everytime I go there so he must be doing ok. Those things aren't all that dependable to begin with so don't be angry when it breaks. I bought my son one and it is now R.I.P.

LOL, that was my nephews electric scooter. I want a faster RED one for my not_so_little girl. You know what, the other day I when I was at the gym, one of the windows overlooks the rear of PepBoys and I did see scooters in the back! I'll go check it out.

Yeah, there are alot of kids in this neighborhood with nice scooters, so I want one that will be comparable for my daughter. I also want it to last a decent amount of time.

That's weird, since when did Pep Boyz, Auto Zone and/or Kragen carry scooters?

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, those are a little pricey.

I checked out Pep Boys, those scooters are just plain awful. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and get her a pocketbike.

How much do you want to spend? How much power ya lookin for?
If anyone else gets in on this the price should go down a fair bit [the guy I would get it from is a bulk buyer]

I really don't want to spend more than $400. I usually don't buy really expensive gifts for my daughter, but she just made it into the GATE program and has been getting straight As for awhile. All this while changing from 4 schools in 4 years.

I want a motorized (gas powered), but a nice electric one will do. As long as it doesn't break down, I'll be happy!

Did you ever find one of these? Target had them in their sales ad for like $180 this week.

K, thanks :). I really want to get a gas-powered scooter so I can take off the exhaust and make it real loud, like my bike!
