Has anyone had their seat shaved with either of these 2 auto upholstery shops? Any good? Fair price? Or if you can recommend any others, that would be cool too (except Angelo's, don't think I can wait that long for a seat shave....) Thanks!

NBI Upholstery (on Midway Drive)

do it yourself, its rediculously easy.

hell, just keep buying me beers while i work and ill do it for free.

havent heard any thing about the shops sorry.

its really easy though, just pull the staples, reshape it, then recover and staple.

Yeah, I was told that it was fairly easy, the thing is, I'm not sure if I'm talented enough to get the curve of the seat right. I don't want to mess it up and have to order another stock seat. I think I'd rather shell out the $25 and have a better job done than what I could have done.

I wanna redo my 04' R1 seat so that it is higher in the front. The R1 seat droops lower in the front and raises in the back. It makes my groin slide back to the front, when I want an inch or more space between the tank and me. I was thinking about going to UFO and making a new seat with more material in the front. Do they have the materials/leather to do this there?

cost me $25, which isn't too bad i guess. He did a pretty good job. Unfortunately, I still can't flat foot it, but I definitely have better footing now. Gotta love those short stubby legs... heh.

Basically what they do is they take off the the black covering and then shave off the foam, sides and top, and then fit the covering back on the newly shaved seat. They just staple the covering to the bottom of the seat. You can probably do it yourself, but I just wasn't willing to risk screwing up my seat. Are you thinking of getting your seat shaved as well?

ya, im thinking of getting it shaved. im only 5 foot 5 or so and when i wear my sidi boots i can barely touch the ground. but when i wear nikes, its ok. but when they shave the foam, how comfy are the seats now since it has less cushion. thanks
