Ok, this may be a really stupid question but...I have a big tack in my tire and I am afraid to take it out because I am pretty sure it punctured through. Will the tire sealent stuff work on that? If so what should I use and if not, do I have to buy a brand new tire or do you think my warrenty will cover it (since I have only had the damn thing for two months now)????

it should cover it if u had all those extra bullcrap warranties and stuff. if not than... i dunno sounds like the the sealent stuff might work.

I doubt warranty would cover it since it's not an actual defect. But maybe if you're nice to the dealer he'll cut you a deal.
As Sean said: if it's an innertube type tire, just patch the innertube (or replace it). Otherwise, just patch the hole the tack made from the inside and you'll be good to go.

I would not pull it out either. I also would not use sealant. It makes a mess and I have heard it degrades the integrity of your tire over time. I would take the bike to the nearist shop anhave it plugged. I wouldn't trust a plug for serious riding but for commuting or crusing I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know if it has an inner tube, how do I tell?
