What kind of signals do you use for riding in groups or for other motorcycles? tapping on your helmet is for cops... obvious hand signals right/left/stop. others?

Point at tank means gas or restroom needed.
Tap bike's tail means "follow me."
Pointing furiously at the road with either your hand or foot means there is crap in the road ahead.
Bobbing your head up and down means you're listening to some good music.
Thumbs up from rider in opposite direction in the canyon means no cops ahead.

Don't forget the ever so distinctive middle finger, can be used in anger, or used for fun. :-p
I think that covers them all.

when you go riding and you're the lead, do you stop in intersections and let everyone else go through or is it kinda everyone for themselves?

When I lead a ride I stop at every turn off and get a count of people. So if were going from one road turning on to another I stop. If I know someone got caught at a light I'll slow down or stop depending on how many people are in the ride and where it's at.
