Hey y'all. I just got my R6 out here and I am at camp Pendleton. This looks like a great site. If you see a 99 red and black R6 with the Texas Fairing undertail, it might be me.

I think the rain is scaring everyone off. Wet roads require an extra amount of caution. Normally, rides are posted in the rides forum: http://www.hypercycles.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=35

How much of a chance is there that it will rain this weekend?

You can use this link for weather forecast's. They're usually pretty reliable the closer to the weekend you get. Just start putting area codes of all the place's you're gonna hit that day.

I see that in most of the pictures you all have full leathers on. Is this a club requirement? I don't have pants or boots yet.

No full leathers are no a club requirement, they're more like piece of mind.

Several of my buddies who ride don't have full leathers also. They soon realize that full leathers and just having the most protection possible is the way to go.

Not wearing gear while on my bike is like not wearing a seatbelt in a car to me.... I seriously feel as though I'm going to fall out of the car if I don't put the belt on... likewise I feel really light in my bike and feel as though I am gonna fall off.... gonna get a bike... go get some gear... heck just credit card the stuff... gear is never something you'll regreat purchasing and say "oh that wasn't worth it"

It may seem like a lot of money for a jacket, boots and leather gloves but if you do go down it'll be worth every cent.
Here's a picture of my lil' bros jacket after his spill.
