I've got Proficient Motorcycling by David L. Hough, A Twist of the Wrist I and II by Keith Code sitting around collecting dust. Anyone want to borrow, then rotate around the group?
I've also got a stack of old motorcycle magazines from the last year that I was thinking of recycling or something, if anyone is interested (Performance Bikes; Super Bike; Motor Cyclist; Cycle World; Sport Bike).

Proficient Motorcycling is dry. Basically, statistics of how to avoid accidents... but instead of summing it up, it draws it out with situations and stories. I wish there was a 10 page condensed version that just said "do this" or "don't do this"! But hey, to each their own.
And in case you're wondering: if you see a deer, quick stop. Do not swerve.

lol
I've got Twist of the Wrist II (I can't find it right now, but it's around here somewhere) and The Soft Science of Roadracing Motorcycles by Kieth Code.
If anybody has Total Control I'd like to borrow it.

I didn't even know he had an old one! What did you think of it? Instructional? Insightful? Enlightening? Fun to read?

Don't quit your day job. ;) At least you did not call me Dr. Dre. Yeah, are you riding with anyone this weekend? Otherwise, PM me your address and I'll ship it via USPS.

Yeah, sure! Uh, let me know the next time you're going to be on a ride, or hit up my brother in Temecula -- I'll just leave everything there. It's kinda like Public Storage over there for me... HA HA HA!!!

I liked it....Im a pretty new rider so a lot of what was discussed was fairly common sense, but then there were techniques like trail braking with your rear brake, or tapping the rear brake help the front end not dive so much are things that I wouldnt think of or do normally....
I liked it and especially since Nic got it for me...what a gal:wub:

The books and some 'zines are at my brother's place in Temecula. PM pasta_fredo to arrange pick up (he's a hop, skip, and a jump from Palomar... or you can nicely ask someone in Temecula to bring it down with them).
