Yes one more newbie. Been checking out the forums for the last few days and was wondering if you wonderful people ( ) could help me out with something.

Ive changed oil on numerous cars, numerous times, but for some reason Im not sure exactly what to take off to let it drain (on my bike that is). Advice/help needed!

Oh yeah, forgot the important part, I have a 03 250 Ninja. My first bike ever, and I only started riding about two months/~700 miles ago. Loving it so far and looking forward to meeting new people to ride with. Solo is fun but I'd enjoy some company too

Welcome Oka. Changing the oil on motorcycles is not really much different than on cars. Since your 250 has a center stand, you'll want to use it when you change the oil. You'll have to remove the fairing to do so. From what I recall on this motorcycle, having had one several years ago where the motor is still the same, the drain plug is pretty obvious (toward the bottom) as well as the cylindrical oil filter. The manual, if you have it, should show their location pretty easily. If you don't, the Internet is another good source if you look hard enough.

I'm pretty tied up this weekend otherwise, I'd offer to help you myself if you wanted to do it then. However, I'm quite certain that another hypercycle family member will be able to help you.

Good luck.

Ok, I didnt realise that I had to take the fairing off. Probably pretty straightforward from there. Thanks ;)
