Favorite Ride/Central Cali:

Rode the San Luis Obispo Ride a couple of weeks ago and it was Sick. We took HWY58 through some tight 10mph turns. Through roll'n hills that if you were going fast enough, your front end will come up if you don't go air borne, all the way to San Margarita where we hit 229. That's freshly paved, single lane road that can be as tight as Palomar at times. that road links to HWY46 where there are Huge Sweepers that you can take at 100+ and have your bike leaned almost to the ground. Then you turn off on to old HWY41 that has some very nice S-turns that go on and on. Yes....I fell in love with it. That was just 1 of the many combos you can do out here. After moving from San Diego, i was scared there was gonna be nothing to ride. Thank goodness i was wrong. San Diego is my "One Love" though, be back soon for some more twisties.

Oh yeah, The Sierra Nevada's...A whole nother story.

Damn IMG code is off! :(

First time I took this route, *almost* made it without incident. On the very last turn of the 58, my friend ran wide and had a head-on collision with a car. Here is the turn:

Nice thanks for sharing, it's been a long time since I've been to SLO, never been there on a bike, may have to take a road trip!

You should look up old morro bay road, it's pretty nice and just about any road north of morro bay off of the PCH/Highway 1 is cool, hell even PCH north of morro is frickin awesome. If you get a whole day free head up PCH to 198 and head east (obvioustly), that is a wild fast ride, lots of every type of turn there is and most of it is CHP dead zone, no radio avaliable through those canyons, so be prepared to get on the gas if the chipper decides to persue. its a long stretch though so you might just want to stop, chances are they'll let you go cause they dont want to have to deal with all the BS messin around out there.

Wait, no that was 101 to 198 east. dosent really matter, 198 is wicked from the coast to the central valley.

[QUOTE=RRandawg]wow...that road looks fun...too bad it's far away.[/QUOTE

Its less than 12 miles from San Luis Obispo :errf:

SLO has the best roads in all of california that I have seen and the least populated with police too!
