Well, it is time to put new rubber on my baby, but, this time I will need something a little more dialed toward commuting.....As it stands I am debating Diablo Cosas or just staying with the 208's that I have been using...??? Any help would be great. My comute will be between La Jolla and O'side. It is just for the next 2 months, but I will still ride canyons on the weekend.
Thanks ^_^

I've used the Bridgestone BT020 and currently the BT014s. Both are good tires but the 14s have a great deal more grip but wear quicker. My first set of BT020s lasted ~7K miles. If you are going to do canyons on the weekends I would get the 014s.

Never tried any of the Dunlops.

Dude, you should try the Bridegstone BT010 if they still sell it. I had those for a good 8K to 9K. BUYMOTO.com should know cause they were the ones that replaced my tires. They were laughing cause they said that they look like slicks. I commute from National City to Mira Mesa and also do some canyon riding. The new tires I have now are the BT014 which I haven't really use cause of the rain...

The BT014s work well in the wet, at least in light rain.

my stock dunlops are gangster, last week during the storm i rode from salton city through julian to la mesa. through 24/7 rain, real cold weather in julian and on the freeway when it was POURING and i still do canyons. these i gotta change them soon but im switching to pilot powers.

i rode over the grape vine while it was snowing on rensports this vacation, but i wouldnt say the tires gave me the feedback i would have liked.

i think the 014's, regular diablos, and pilot powers are about equal, and all new and great tires, just get whatever one youcan get the best deal on.

and ride safe,...wet riding is no fun,....just be extra careful crossing anything painted, can damn that stuff gets slick

Yeah what he said. I think the Diablo's are great for this time of year. I actually enjoy riding in the rain, Diablos make it more fun. They wear good and they're sticky enough for a rationally thinking person. I think Pulse is selling a brand new Diablo???

yeah,....when any quick movments over 4000rpms break loose the rear wheel,...fun....true,....lots of fun....oh hell yes,....would i prefer using someone elses bike,....yep. and it would help if i was told crshing a few times just build charachter.

my main problem with wet riding is all the chemichels that are used and dropped on the road. makes it real though to judge traction seeing how near all petrol products repel water. and as much as i would love testing those sliperly limits,...it just costs too much to have that kind of fun these days. that, and cagers have a hard enough time seeing you in the normal day to day, let alone trying to figure out how to drive in the rain in so cal.

Yes it's true not a single car sees you when it's raining.

And I never said I go out and powerslide intersections at 80mph, I'm just saying that IMO riding a motorcycle in the rain is a fun thing to do. Whether you're cruising through the canyons or sliding around parking lots, it's just fun.
