I think Lee's has a special full tune up that will run you 3-400 parts included. Try house and see what they will quote you. Why do you think your valves need adjustment?

Well...I bought my bike used with some high milage and I put about 4000 miles on it already. I didnt get any info on the last valve adjustment, so I just wanted to be on the safe side. Plus the bike the bike feels like its starting to hickup all over the rpm range. I'm going to change the clutch on friday and see if that will help. I was also told that my bike has a weak valve train.

House is aight! I would bring it National City Motorcycle. Greg and Mike are honest people. Got 33K on my bike and not one sign of a tick, knock or ping! I dunno if it's b/c it's a Yamaha or NCM did a good job adjusting those valves! :woot:

Well ive got a guy i know, Bike Doctor, he's out in El Cajon, deep El Cajon, but he has a shop he runs from his garage. Best guy you'll ever meet. He'll talk your ear off. He quoted my GSXR600 at $75 for valve adjustment. He just loves working on bikes and doesnt really do it for the money. plus he only charged $30/$35 hour for any other labor you may need, like clutch install. He's a great guy and highly recommended, only thing is he gets busy a lot so he might not be able to get to it right away. Here's his number, 619-390-7200.

I just got done talking to Bike Doctor aka Tim. He is a cool guy and he still remembers Sean aka Beast619.. I ask him about my bike cause it is also in need of valve adjustments.. He quoted me around $200 with an oil change.. He also mentioned he might bring down the cost if you take the neccessay plastic off when you bring it in.. He said that is not the guy if you are not patient. He is not your typical shop that gets it done within 2 to 3 days. He said it all depends on what needs to be done, what he finds wrong with bike, and mainly parts needed... Soif you plan to take your bike in you beter have other means of transportation.. Other than that he is cool and I will surely take my bike in..
