Not a whole lot to say about this weekend except that I had a great time and put my baby up on the podium again! I had to work until 5pm on saturday so I decided to drive up with Bryant on sunday morning, leaving at 3am. This wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't up until midnight prepping Bryants bike! got to the track at 6:30 and got teched and ready to go. Huge thanks to SPEED(deleted) for coming out to show support and let me borrow his awesome tire-warmers.

Morning practice went good, I just wanted to feel out the tires as I was running my rear 208 backwards which dunlop says shouldn't be done! it's a US tire and they don't recommend this but since I'm broke didn't have much choice...Lucky for me it felt great and looked perfect after the first session! I made a couple changes to the shock, went out in secons session and the bike felt really good so I came in early and went to sleep...

Race time came around and I was gridded 5th, right behind Dawn. I got an ok start, kinda hesitated when the flag fell but managed to get into third by T1. Made a pass into T3 for second and remained there for the 3 laps. Then James G. came flying past me into turn 1. I thought he was going down but he held it on the track somehow! I got back past him going into T2 then had a nice slide over 4b and he came back up the inside of me in T5. I didn't feel like going though 5 next to him so I let him go and knew I would get a better drive over T6. Sure enough through turn 8 I went right back past him. Same scenaro next lap, almost word for word but some dude on a 600rr came past both of us on the straight for the white flag, kinda came outta nowhere! I knew I was faster through T8&9 so I knew I could get back up there but right now I was all the way back in 4th

Last lap into T8 and I noticed that we were closing fast on a group of lapped riders! As I came out of T8 there were three riders next to eachother in the middle of the track, 2nd and 3rd went around the outside but I was going much faster so I drove down the inside of the lapped riders. Couldn't hold the speed into T9 on the inside so I rolled off hoping to get a good drive onto the front straight for the finish. Ended up coming out of 9 with a good drive and pulled up right behind 3rd before popping out and going for it. We were elbow to elbow and I got him by maybe 6inches at the line for third! we were so close that they didn't even see or score him as finishing!

Another third is good for me but hopefully I will get a better finish next month
congrats to Dawn for her good result! she'll be flying again next month I'm sure
We'll get Lost's bike back in shape and he'll be right there also next month
Thanks to Bryant and BUYMOTO.com for the support

dude you must be pretty fast! 3rd places the first few times out there? Cool!

How many are on the grid for MW Novice and what are your avg lap times? I'm a WSIR newb, only been out there once but hoping to start racing there too. Maybe you can tow me around for a bit!

This race I believe there was 31 riders on the grid, not sure, it seemed like more.

The lap timer I was running is giving me all sorts of weird times but we were averaging 1:31's with my best being a 30.29. Not sure if I'm the best to show you around but I'd love to help!

Congrats Shaggy! You were dicing it up nicely out there for second most of the race. Glad that dude didn't get you at the last second to take your 3rd place away. Awesome racing, definately worth my $10 at the gate!

Glad I could help with the tire warmers, and if I'm not able to race next month, you may use them again.

Good to see Lost, and Bryant out there as well.

The Event at Pahrump is sure to be a great time! See you there.

Shaggy may be the original, but there is no denying that GPTECH is the current mr. podium. 4 WSMC race starts, 4 number 1 finishes. Without extensive research, but still with high confidence, I will say that nobody else in the history of WSMC have accomplished such an incredible feat! GPTECH, you are the man of the moment, don't try to divert attention by reviving these meaningless threads from several years ago. Don't get me wrong, mad props to Shaggy and Jared, but YOU ARE THE MAN!
