Its John. I'm a newbie rider too. I think I have like 80 miles on my bike. Still trying to feel comfortable on the turns.

welcome john :) ah i kno how it feels... but then it gets addicting... i was on the freeways and doin telegraph the first week :) that was fun... not a good idea buyin a bike finals week

hahah i had to do it once with a girl. My bike was in the shop and i sat on the back. It was sooo embarrasing and it scared the *@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$ outta me. I swore i was going to fall off. Im way too big for the back seat. :whistle:

Welcome aboard John. How do you like the FZ6? What year is it? Did you take the MSF course?
If you got only 80 miles under your belt I wouldn't worry about the turns so much as just getting a feel for your bike's controls.
Throttle, Brakes (mainly the front...try to stay away from that rear brake so you dont lock it up), looking ahead, and being smooth.
In any case, have fun and ride safe.

Its a 2005 FZ6. Im starting to get a better feel for everything everyday, so I know I'll be cool. I'll be hitting up a bike night tomorrow.
