Welp, just bought an iMac G5 20". Got it for me and my daughter really, being a PC guy all my life, I'm used to think all Mac users were quirky, grunge-type, socialists who never showered, and here I have one now, and like it alot!
Anyways, any good sites or books I can go to/pick up to learn more. I know that I do everything from usr dir as opposed to the root like any good 'nix box, and how to install programs and stuff, but everything else is new.
TIA
It is alot slower than my 1 year old laptop, but still, it looks damn pretty sitting on my desk.

Yeah, I have been to the regulars, but nothing jumps out at me. I need something elegant and simple to read to making my Mac dreams come true, okay that sounded corny, but you get the picture.
Been to these sites:
http://www.macnn.com/
http://www.macminute.com/
http://www.macintouch.com/
http://www.maccentral.com/
And then there are these:
http://www.macorchard.com/ Everything Internet related available for the Mac can be found here
http://www.resexcellence.com/ - The place for hacks. Fairly big database of howto's on interface & other hacks in OSX.
http://www.macosxhints.com/ - They have a pretty nice forum there that while not as popular as MacFixIt, has much less static and is easier to search (for the very same reason). Also have a nice archive of how-to fixes for a very wide range of OS X issues.
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ - The hardware equivalent of ResExcellence. Plenty of reviews of all different hard drives, optical drives, processor upgrades, video cards, etc. Includes howto's on overclocking cpu's and flashing video cards etc.
http://www.macinstein.com/ - A little on the propoganda-ish side but great info on tricks with the command and option keys. Various other useful things and links.
http://www.hubblemac.com/ - have some nice reviews, but the cooler part is their developer interviews. Hopefully they'll offer them more often down the road (right now it's about one a month).
http://www.macreviewzone.com/ - basically a site that pulls together ratings from all the other review sites and lists products with their attendant ratings. Kind of a inch deep, mile wide type of resource.
Just don't have time to check them all out. Just thought someone might know something ;).

I want to be able to do reports, some desktop publishing, pic editing, and the regular stuff, i.e. websurfing, email. Too bad they don't have CS for the Mac ;). But yeah, I am slowly getting used to the way OSX is, and I definitely like it.
