Are these over rated...they are the talk of the town, Awsome reviews, but kinda pricy. I hear HP gains...anyone have any advice? Testamonials? Experience? Thanks, Mike

i would go with either stock or bmc , before i went with kn. people say that the hp gain from the kn isnt that great. im sure someone else will chime in about this.

+1 on BMC. It's the air filter recommended by Yoshimura for Suzukis.

+2 on the BMC...I have a K&N and I cant tell the difference....and in all honesty to do you need more power...save your flow and save for suspension upgrades....power is useless if you cant transfer it to the ground.
Do you have a steering damper on that bad boy?

I think Sean meant you don't need more power. Them liter Zukis are plenty fast.

just roll like me , without a airfilter! I got max airflow and i can feel the extra power :)

You probably will LOSE power unless you get a PCIII. An aftermarket air filter like K&N and BMC will allow more air to flow in. Bikes usually come lean to pass emissions -- by allowing more air in, you are making the fuel/air mixture even more lean. However, if you slap on a PCIII or remap, you'll gain more power. Also, I hear you get more crap going into your bike since they don't filter as well as a stock/denser air filter.

A nice thing about the K&N and BMCs is that they are cleanable and reuseable.

The PCIII is definitely a plus but I'm not sure if it was necessary unless you got a full system. My 04 gixxer 6 ran pretty strong with the BMC and a Yosh slip-on without it. The PCIII did smooth it out after I added it. When I had a full Yosh system installed, only then would I say that a PCIII was a probably a necessity.

Listen to Sean though...aftermarket steering damper or suspension. Tires are good too.
