first of all i have to say that trackdaz did an exellent job of keeping everything smooth. there were a few delays but we were informed of what was going on every time. ok, ill try to keep it short. there was a raffle in the morning and they were giving away some cool stuff! dvds, gas cans, duct tape,ect.. everything was just about gone and then my name was called. i noticed some duct tape and though cool i could use more tape. next thing i know dustin hands me a box with a mityvac speed bleeder in it!!! what no ducttape? lol. after the raffle i had to attend the noobie meeting upstairs, that went by fast and smooth. that taught us what to do in case of a crash. i had to wait about and hour or so before my first round. durring that time frame i started to get really nervous. smoked about 6 cigs to keep the nerves in check. then finally it was my groups turn. we did 2 sighting laps to get the feel of the track. after the second lap, my group leader made me and 2 other guys stop at the entrace to the pit lane. i was like WTF? he then told us that we should stay on the inside of the turns so that people could pass us. huh? whatever.. then i finally staged up and waited for the go. this is were i think to myself, ok dood, just ride your ride and youll be fine. i get the go and take off. the first round i followed a few people to see how there lines were. tried to do what the instructor told me and let everyone pass, really EZ pace nothing butt clinching. then round 2. screw the instructor, i wanted to ride! went out and passed everyone in front of me! even passed a few liter bikes on the strait!! i didnt think my 750 could do that!? i guess all it takes is a better dive out of the turn. even though i was in the street group, i still got to mix it up alittle with guy on a new r1. he passed me on the outside of 2, so i decided to tail him to see his lines. we passed a few groups then turn 9 came up and i decided to take him on the strait. i got a better dive and we were neck to neck. he let off on the start/finish line and i slammed the brakes right before the orange cones on the side of the track. the cool part was the black and white flag was being waved as we passed the finish line. that was the last i saw him, until he came down pit row on the back of a truck. i wasnt sure if it was because of me that he crashed, so i hopped on my bike to make sure he was ok. it turns out that he highsided on t2 and it wasnt because of me!! im glad he was ok! all in all it was the the best time i ever had!!! EVERYONE was so cool and friendly. made me feel right at home. again thanks to everyone at TRACKDAZ for a day ill never forget! see you guys soon!
