Hello fellow UCSD students,
So it's been a month since I first rode a motorcycle. I've been reading up on these forums, and everyone is great in giving advice. I wanted to see know if you guys knew about any race tracks around the SD area. People say it's a good way learn how to control your bike better. Do these tracks have beginner runs? What kind of requirements are there? Dress code? Seats just to watch? Hours? Thanks!

no "real race tracks" here just probably the best location of twisteis in the US. The closest track is Fontana in Fonatana vut those trackdays get pricey (but the track is awesome), then would be Willow Springs (big Track and Streets of Willow and Horsethief Mile)..
Trackdaz (http://www.trackdaz.com) usually have slow groups that go out and for first time track riders...a majority of us shall be at VEGAS BABY (http://www.dialitintracktime.com/) doing a trackdaywith Dial it in....but maybe your best bet would to enroll in a class (Class (http://www.classrides.com/) , Star (http://www.starmotorcycle.com/) and some others...)
But most IMPORTANT is to take the MSF class (http://www.msf-usa.org/) ! BEFORE ANYTHING this should be your building block for all of your riding...
Good luck and go venture out into the other forums...especially the Track Day/Racing
