jared, those are some of the best shots ever with you and DiSalvo, you couldnt ask for better than that. i think the coolest thing about the factory rider/instructor on the 1000RR and DiSalvo is they didnt try to stuff us or buzz us in turns if we were going slower than them, they almost wanted us to get awesome shots with us and them "duking it out" and then they were on their way...way cool guys, both of em

I drilled out a couple of the rivets that came loose (okay they were ripped from the trailer), and bolted the wheel skirt back on the trailer. I couldn't really do anything about the very front part because it was pretty messed up. Good thing U-Hual doesn't require their employees to have a high IQ. The dude checking the trailer asked me what happened, and I replied "I don't know." I guess he thought that meant it was like that when I picked it up. The bolts and springs on the inertia brake were a little out of wack too. Once again captain U-Haul showed his skills.

U-Haul guy "What's wrong with that thing?"
Me: "What thing? The inertia brake?"
U-Haul guy "The what?"
Me: (pointing at the brake) "This?"
U-Haul guy: "Yeah, what is it?"
Me: "An inertia brake."
U-Haul guy: (Wrinting on reciept) "How do you spell that?"
Me: "I-N-E-R-T-I-A."
U-Haul guy wrote: I-N-T-I-A scribbled it out (because he didn't know what he was trying to spell) and said "just tell the girl inside about that thing."

Went inside and the reciept didn't say anything about the busted wheel skirt or the brake so I got off without paying damages. :ha:

ME: 1 U-Haul: 0

Quick tip to all: Get the optional insurance. This is the one time I didn't and it would have been a lot less nerve racking if I had.

Even after all the sh!t I went through to get on the track it was well worth it!

On the topic of damaging U-hauls... the night my roomie moved in he managed to tip over a big u-haul, but he luckily did purchase the $18 insurance. This was in the Ralph's parking lot in La Jolla btw!!

Hi guys,

Believe it or not, I'm STILL in Vegas!!!!!!! We were supposed to be heading home today, but one of the helicopters broke....and it's another night in Vegas. Gee shucks.

I FINALLY got internet access at the base library in Nellis today. This might be a bit belated, but I had an absolutely awesome time riding and getting to know everyone. You are all a top-notch group of people, and I'm glad that Roda showed me the way here! :bowdown:

That was my first time on a track since 1997.....and the addiction has begun again. I found out I've got some suspension and motor work to do before next month....and the UNPAINTED race bodywork will be on order as soon as I get home. It was awesome riding with you all, especially the laps I ran with you Alan! Sorry we didn't get a chance to run together Pulse....next time for sure.

I'll be riding at California Speedway next month on the 26th, with a friend that has decided to go AMA Superstock racing next year on an '04 R1. Good that I got a chance to see the "competitons" machinery!
