View Full Version : Leather Jacket Stitching
Last night I noticed the stitching coming undone [a little] on my alpinestars jacket [just cosmetic stitching, not anything that holds the jacket together]. How much would it cost to get fixed / where can I get it done?

where did you get the jacket? if you bought it form a store sometimes they will take it in exchange for a new one, even though you said it is only cosmetic you never know it could work. if not any tailoring place can do it and i think it is very cheap to have leathers repaired ...

so you have only had it for 4 weeks? well it shouldnt fall apart that quick. so just the lettering is coming off then? i would just ride by there one day and say hey this is coming unstiched and see what they say. if they say too bad then maybe they can tell you where to get it fixxed.

If you really want to push the issue and it is that important to you than you can call A-stars and they will be more than happy to fix it for you regardless of how old it is.

Yeah...I had some 2 year old GP Plus gloves that started falling apart (ripped open the palm...probably from getting soaked a couple times). Called them up, got an RMA # and they sent me a brand new pair!
But 4 weeks old...the store should replace it and deal with sending back the bad one.
Just called em up, game my invoice number and they said they would either replace it or just replace it... so everything worked out
thanks for the help everyone!, I was illin for a second there

You might want to PM onogsxr to see what he came up with. Check out this thread: http://www.hypercycles.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=238
house of motorcycles said I had to contact alpine stars directly. They are telling me I have to ship it in, and they will look at it. Most likely it will be repaired but MIGHT just be replaced [based on damage]. Probably just going to send it in while I am up north for valentines weekend.
