hey what's up all you cal riders...

now that you're on... introduce yourselves and your rides. pictures would be a plus.

also, introduce youreselves in the main forum here:

http://www.hypercycles.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43

they were cool enough to give us our own little section.

This is a public forum, so please abid by the rules and not directly insult others =). We don't want to give Berkeley a bad name. if you want to know more about the rules and regulations, check them out on the main forum of hypercycles (http://www.hypercycles.com).

The GENERAL forum within the BAY AREA section is for any general topic and questions and comments.. such as "damn khoa, your bike's tight..."

the CAL-SPORTRIDERS section should be limited to more specific topics regarding CSC.

our moderator type good =)

Anyway this is Mike, one of the founders of SB. This semester I hold a co-chair as a master of the web with the spelling genious who posted above me. (It's all good Khoa you know I got your back!)

So I have been seen riding around on a blue (the faster color btw, don't listen to anyone else who says different, they just jealous!) 2002 Yamaha R6 with a few mods. Been riding for almost 2 years now, thanks to my bro who got me into riding (he's in BMA btw).

I look forward to meeting or remeeting y'all this year and to cause some havic in da twisties or have a few brewskies!... in that order of course. Remember to wear gear and not do anything beyond you or your bike's abilities... because while we'll be impressed, we're not paying for your new plastics. =) Peace out and ride safe!

Mike

sup all u Berkeley bad-azzez riding around on your crotch-rockets, Kingman here the damn hippie tree-hugger giving all of you a bad image! I've been seen passing R1's on my 10 speed TREK Backroads road-bike, check your mirrors!!

F2's still running fine, oils changed. just got took a trip to UC Santa Cruz and back, passed HWY 17 uneventful. Anyone down for a day / camping trip down the 1 or HWY 9 or to carmel or somethin? I can pack a tent, a bag, some clothes and some food on the back of my CBR! Super RIG! Weekend trip ya? Of course not now in the rain, but when the spring rolls around lets camp under the stars!

Don't eat too much meat, It'll slow your reaction time (as well as yur digestion). Fruit, Veggies veggies veggies rice and beans, no processed foods, live to 100! Enjoy life and I'll see you out there.

Sup fellas?

I've been absent since the very first club meeting, but that's going to change! But first things first, we can't let this blue being faster business get out of hand. Red is faster. (http://www.physics.usyd.edu.au/jeremy/redfast.html) See y'all soon.

Chris,

although i agree with you on the physics aspect of your arguement, i must point you to a more logical direction, the right one. Yamaha's flagship / race color is blue/white. it's only sensible that they would perk up their blue/white models a bit to make it stand out from the rest.

Wazzup all you Bay Area riders! I grew up in Berkeley and spent the first 20 years of my life up there. Great place to live and some excellent local twisties . I'm applying to several law schools up north for fall 2005 and may end up back in the Bay:D.

Impressive argument Chris, and long time no see! I dunno if the physics of the twisties applies there. All I gotta say is... bring it! =) See you out there soon man! Took you long enough to "change a bald tire"... goes to show that Red is slower =P

Mike, representin true BLUE & GOLD!

Hi! *laughs and shakes hand*

I'm Katherine, a motorcycle's girl to a sonic blue Ninja 250R named Yahiko Myojin. I've been riding for about a year now and am addicted and deeply in love with the sport (and with sportbikes *yum*). As Mike so eloquently put it, I'm always up to no good, and like having a lot of fun making a little trouble, but some days I'm a nerdy good girl and I'm not afraid to admit it. *grin*

Anyways, it's fun being in the club and hanging out with the boys (and the few girls *laughs*). I'm originally a solo-rider from the LA area, so Berkeley's back country and the whole "group ride" thing has been a really new and VERY interesting experience. If a stranger should ever salute you (or cat call), wave back; it's probably me. *fox grin*

Laters then! kat

hi guys
Darren here - apparently I'm treasurer for this semester (whatever a semester is - I'm a working stiff now), so git me your monies or I'll send the boys round (that would be Mike, Nate, and Khoa - not terribly intimidating I know, but it's all I've got to work with here people).

These days I'm riding my Duc 748 - you can see it on my (very weak) website at http://darren.themontgomerys.com/bikepage.htm
Still getting used to it, but lots of fun. And I think it scares children and dogs at an even greater distance than my trusty Superhawk, which is a plus.

Hope to see y'all Saturday
