One of my carborators (#4) had a tear in the vaccum piston diaphram.
Could this cause a lean mix in that cylinder? Could this also be the reason the cbr would backfire on some cold mornings?
the engine has 60,000 miles, and the valve shims were all spec.
also, while I have the carbs off, I soaked the jets in the carb cleaner bath, are there any other parts that should go in there? I don't want to disassemble all four, but there are jet needles, float valves (not worn) and the float holder(pins), I didn't want to soak those, should I just clean them with carb cleaner (parts wash)?
