Anyone for road cycling? I just picked up a cannondale road bike to train on. At least I will be able to enjoy that without having to worry about tickets.

Both Kerns and Daley said that racers' favorite spot is Palomar Mountain because its steep and curvy road makes it a great place to ride a motorcycle ---- and to evade traffic officers.

I know when I'm being tailed for speeding I high tail it to Pally to loose the cops. :ha:

This could get interesting. I wonder how much of the "crackdown" is going to get implemented?

from January 2000 through February this year, there were 281 motorcyclists injured in accidents caused by the motorcyclist. Of that figure, 170 occurred during the last two years.

true this is alot of crashes....but in all honesty, how many car crashes have there been in that same time period........im willing to say more than triple. it has been a long time coming though and there have been more cops up there before this article was written. weekdays and weekend afternoons seem best. just dont be up there fro mlike 10am-1pm on weekends and i believe you miss most cops.

"I think the trend towards unsafe riding has really picked up over the last few years especially due to movies being made by the racers," Andrews said.

why are movies and video games always first get blamed?

Because people are dumb sheep.

I remember what happened to the street racing scene after The Fast and the Furious came out. Back in the day, it used to be organized and people wouldn't act like idiots - that ended shortly after that damn movie, after which point cops started being on us like white on rice. That ended the fun of safe street racing.

EDIT: AND I'VE STILL YET TO RIDE PALLY.
