I have a couple of older honda voltage regulators that are prone to breaking because Honda didn't design them very well. They have no cooling fins like modern voltage regulators.

I was thinking about putting some RAM heat sinks on it to help keep the regulators cool, but I'm not sure what the best way to do this would be. I was thinking maybe putting a thermal compound like arctic silver between the heat sinks and the voltage regulator, but I'm not sure how i would get the heat sinks to stick. Any ideas?

Also, anyone with some ram heat sinks they're willing to donate?

Why not just hook up a computer cpu fan over the REC. They are dc and I'm sure you can wire it easily.

my rectifier went out... spent 250 for a new one.. the new one has those fins for cooling.

i say sand a small piece down with fine grit sand paper.. just to clean it up.. then put that heat sink on.... better then paying 250 for a new one.
