I posted a while ago that I picked up an 84 Kawi gpz 750 from a friend of a friend. It's been a few months and I still haven't gotten the title so I've decided to start looking for another bike.

I've got my mind set on an FZR600 (prefer the round headlights), but I'll take other suggestions. Just looking for suggestions on where to look for one. I'm looking in autotrader and recycler (although most of those are up in LA), any other places to look? Also, would anyone be willing to help me look at them. I know my way around cars, but would like someone experienced to help me look for one. I should have money to start looking at around the end of the month.

how much do you want to spend? what condition and mileage?

Between 2-3k. I'd rather get an earlier model and spend closer to 2k. Don't really want a fixer upper, but wouldn't mind something that needs a little work if it's a good price. Wouldn't mind putting the labor into it. Body on it doesn't need to be perfect or anything either.

What kind of mileage should I look for on these bikes knowing I won't have to do any major work on it for some time. I know this largely depends on how it was taken care of, just want some ballpark numbers.

thanks

talked to my buddy today and he gave me some of the info for the bike. It's a 1993 fzr600 red/white with 34k miles. Last time I saw the bike it was really clean, wouldn't have guessed it to be a 93. Previous owner was a chill rider too. Definitely no wheelies or hard riding from him. He stopped riding b/c of a family members accident. I think he's looking to get around $2,500.

give Dustin a call if your interested. 951 312 4383.

I won't be able to pick it up until about the end of the month. I have to get rid of my current bike first and wait for some more money. If your friend still has his bike when I'm ready to buy, I'm interested in seeing it.
