Well, I went down to the parking garage in my office building to hop on the bike and ride home, and my bike was gone. I guess in San Diego, it's only a matter of time...
It was stolen from 1011 Camino del Rio South in Mission Valley between 10am and 3pm.
It's a Black 2004 1000RR with Dark Smoke Zero Gravity DB Windscreen, Micron Twin Outlet Exhaust, Ride Engineering Fender Eliminator, and LP Flushmounts and Short Stalks.
I know there's almost no chance, but please keep an eye out for it....if you have any info please call my cell (858) 688-6994. Thanks.

Damn sorry about that man.
Just shows why the insurance companies tag us on these bikes, you will be claiming 2 brand new 1000 rr's in how long? 6 months?
Glad I'm not cuttin that check damn. I swear those bikes on the hot list like 1000rr, R1 and such should almost require an alarm before they can insure you. Something needs to be done to make it harder on these damn thieves. I think they are laughing at how easy it is.

Damn man. I hate Theives. I had my car stolen last year and since it was a illegal alien I cant go after him for damages and I had no coverage beyond liability. Why work anymore? Lets just steal bikes instead of sitting in my cube all day working for pennies.

What the hell is going on with San Diego.. I say one of these days we all get together post one of our bikes to see if someone tries to steal it. If so, we all just ran up on him or her and kick the crap out of them...Sorry about that bro... :rifle:

I'm with you! I'm sure whomever stolled that bike rides too. There is no way in hell..on some forums, some *@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$ is not bragging about the kill. I hate riders like that..and the worse thing is that some ride with us and you'll never know! Spread the word and let's see what happens.
Good luck dude!

I'm trying to get BuyMoto certified to do LoJack installations in San diego for motorcycles. We also have the newly redesigned Xena disc alarms in stock too.

I heard the Lojack for motorcycles was only currently available in some states on the east coast.

Problem with Lojack is that I don't think it goes into Mexico (if it does it isn't very far) , which is where your bike will be within 30 minutes. Even if it does, how hard do you think it will be to get it back?
Lojack is an awesome idea and I'd still get one if it was cheap enough, but when you live on the border of Mexico it ain't gonna help all that much IMHO.
I inquired and it is currently available in Florida and some other east coast state. I think so cal is next though...

Hmm.. interesting points there Bill. I'll be sure to find out some more details as soon as the LoJack people get back to me.
BioHaz: That's true.. LoJack is currently only available in Massachusetts and Florida. Hmm.. not sure if we need to be a franchise dealer of a brand of motorcycles to carry this product actually. LoJack should be available in Texas and California by the end of this year. The cost is around $595 for the system including installation I believe. oiye.. kinda pricey it seems.

Wow for $595 it might not be worth having living near the border. By the time you call 911 and them tracking the bike it's already across the border..Like remusR6 said it might be someone in HC forum that is just laughing his/her head off about the kill..

I just recently bought a new car and the dealer showed me some LoJack stats that showed some cars have been recovered from Mexico, but nothing is guaranteed once they cross the border. Recovery is usually within hours of filing a stolen vehicle report. They quoted me $700.00 for lifetime service, still thinking about it.
They also offer an early warning system which will call/page/email you if the vehicle is being moved.

I don't know how many sport bikes are taken down to Mexico, I'm sure there are some but the majority of stolen bikes are just ridden or stunted til they are totaled or run out of gas. Most jacked bikes are prolly joyriders and the others chopped up into teeny weeny pieces to be sold on EBAY. LoJack is very effective, once you know or your alarm signals you, you can have the cops tracking your bike within minutes. Only way to get away with the bike is if you know exactly where the unit is and have the time to disable it, then that would be an "inside" job so you'd be Sh*t out of luck anyways. I know for sure I'll be getting LoJack once it's available here.
