to keep it cheap and nice, go with a yosh.
i like arata, arkra, sato, and graves,....but if you dont have the coin, a yosh system will get things done nicely

if you just want to swap springs and oil it will be around 120 bucks and will make a huge improvement. its not too bad to do yourself, and you can chainge oil weights for different effects as well.
it will make a marked difference, more ground clearence in the corners, and more stabikity on the brakes

Put in a 999R motor, paint the frame red, add an ohlins steering damper, change to the 999R swingarm, and put on 999R fairings - red. Wait...why not just upgrade to a 999R? Gosh.

Just to ride it and try to become half as capable as the bike is already.

you should just replace the springs b/c the stock spring rate for the EX is going to be really light to begin with. now + mileage+ age. I would check out www.racetech.com where you can plug in your bike, rider weight, and riding style and it will tell you what the appropriate rate would be. then just call up buymoto and your set.

What about a belly pan?
You know what sucks? The SV1000s comes with the belly pan. My poor 650 got jipped. Anybody know why the belly pan isn't included with the 650?
Oh yah, eventually, some fairings to help keep my legs warm during cold rides home.
