Anyone know some good types of motorcycle truck ramps? Where to buy, online, links? My bro just got an 05' Toyota Tacoma Prerunner doublecab longbed. Price is an issue, but also, a product that is strong, designed well, and easier to use than other products is what we're looking for. Also, what types of tiedowns do people use. Should we only get ratcheting ones or stock up on all types, including bungee cords? Being the first truck in the family, I'm really excited (I want a truck too). I just wanna prepare this truck to haul our motorcycles.

The longer arched ramps are good. They are usually about ~ 100 bucks.

if you're gonna tow your bike a lot then u should go for the good ones... if u just want a ramp to load your bike once in a while then try "harbor frieghts" they have 2 steel ramps for $40.(they are ATV/Lawnmower ramps....it works!) me and my friend split the cost.. he got one and i got one. we hardly load our bikes up, but when we do... we each have a ramp that works.

i also use a 'canyon dancer'(around $30) and some ratcheting tie downs ($15 for 4 of them @ home depot).
i like the ratcheting ones better cuz its easier to get them tight.

Thanks for the input. We went to House of Motorcycles just to check out the design of ramps over there. Didn't buy anything yet. We were thinking of maybe getting a ramp, and me welding them to the way I want them.

I reccomend two ramps. One for the bike and one to walk next to the bike as you put it in the truck. Its always worked out good for me!

If you don't plan on doing many track days, consider renting ramps from Home Dept for $3.00/ day. You don't have to worry about long-term storage. :)
