wow! that was so much fun and a whole different experiance than any other riding i have done and there is so much to say :)

well the weekend started off with me and jason's brother jerry (argh6) heading up to the track friday afternoon to get everything set up. we arrive at willow in the dark and find our pits to find that it has been raining all day like predicted and no real sign that it would let up for our racer school on saturday, which had me and jery bummbed a bit but we were riding no matter what. we met poor jiggy up there who was waiting for us for hours becasue he arrived early friday morning to do practice only to get rained on and decide not to ride. so we got our pit all set up that way we wouldnt have to deal with it in the morning, and headed off to the hotel to try and get some sleep.

Saturday arrives and me and jerry are getting excited to get goin. we take a look outside to see how the rain is doing and to our surprise, NO RAIN!!! the same riding gods from las vegas were looking over us this weekend and it was awsome. so we head bakc to the track just stoked that the rain stopped and arrived at the track to find it drying out quickly. we already were set up from the night before so we give the bikes a last look over and head to registartion and tech, everything running smoothly. new racer school began for jerry and i at 8:30am as the other racers took the track forthe day of practice. the class was alot of fun and the level of riders varied greatly from WERA racers to first timers at the track. first session out they give the track to just the NRS riders and that was cool but i was almost taken out in turn 6 by a first timer who was very bad at holding a line. jerry was tailing me as the guy decided to swing out wide out of no where when i went for an outside pass, he missed my rear tire by inches. back to the class room for a bit and then the rain started to come back right before our second session. so jerry and i got in a session at the track with the track starting to get wet but not in full rain. it was actually fun and you have surprising grip in the srinkling rain and only experienced one slide in turn 9. we had a little more class time and one more track session then it was time for the fun to begin, practice race starts!!! jerry and i were bookin on teh practice starts and were in the top 4 everytime by the end of the lap with jerry taking the whole shot in almost every start  . the best part of the day was the last practice start becasue we got 4 laps after it, so it was like a practice race. wsmc starts the experts in a second wave behind us which is anyone that wants to practice starts, this inclused jeremey toye, jacob west and others. so jerry and i were up front for 2 laps and on the 3rd lap, here come some of the pros buzzing us everywhere, it was great. so the day was complete, jerry and i now had our WSMC nice race license and it was time to get ready for sunday practice and racing.

the weather sunday was just awsome and couldnt have asked for better with the forcast being rain all weekend. after tech the tire warmers went on and we werer getting ready to ride with the racers in morning practice and see what we got ourselves into. we get out on the track for practice and it was the funnest riding ever, people hauling azz people going slow, so you got to practice passing and experiance how slow you really are at the same time. two successful practices went by the nit was a wating game as we were race 18, the last race of the day. now our race had about twice as many riders as any other race of the day which was just insane. last i heard our race contained 52-54 riders in two waves!! jerry and i were gridded on the front row of the second wave in #37 and #38 spots. the nerves grew when final call for middleweight novice came, we rippied off the tire warmers and heaed to the hot pit lane. the warm up lap was a clust fuk of people lol and i thought this would be an interesting and hairy race. jerry and i grid up and await out time to go. the first wave of 30 riders goes and we wait until they all enter turn 2 then they drop the green flag for us. like before jerry got an AWSOME start and took first in our wave all the way to turn two. my self on the other hand blew my start by getting a wheelie in first and having about 7 people pass me into one. so after settleing in the first lap it was time to get some work done, i saw jerry up there about 6 bikes ahead and saw that as my goal for the race. one by one i was picking up sposts with most of my passes coming in turn 3 and on the front straight into turn 1. on the 4ht lap i am on jerry's tail in turn 8 and 9 and go for the hard drive out of 9 as jerry's bike is much faster on the straight. i get my drive and pull up side by side with jerry and we hold that all the way down the straight. jerry was in the corner of my eye and i decide not to brake until i see him sit up, so we brake fairly deep into one and i got the inside line and pass and it was time to start getting people from the first wave. for the next tow laps jerry was right no my tial and we started to move our way through some riders running our fastest laps at this point. so we come across the finish of our first race with a huge smile from the great experiance and not crashing out. we have no real clue on what position we got but were able to estimate it by who we passed. we know i took 3rd and jerry took 4th in our wave of riders and that we passed several riders in the first wave putting us overall somewhere between 20th and 25th place, but really dont know exactly were we finished. our boy jason came in second and congrats on that buddy, wish i could have watched you

overall it was and awsome weekend and awsome experiance and i cant wait to get back. i just want ot thank buymoto, bryant, jason, jerry, jiggy and aaron for all the help to get it done and the support to make it happen. special thanks to deno, carol, sarah and friend for comming and watching and showing support and it was just a blast to do. sorry for the long post :nerd: , til next time

I have never been to a track but would love too one of these days. What things would be needed for a track day? Do you have to provide your own stuff. I kind want to know so if I plan to go at least I will be prepared 100%... nice pixs too..

i know there is a thread somewhere listing everything you need for a track day. basically you need your suit, gloves, boots, helmet and some organizations require a back protector. your bike needs all the lights taped up and light fuses pulled, your mirrors taken off, some pretty new tires, and swap out your coolant for water wetter and i think you are ready to go. plenty of guys here can help ya get ready to if you need

Coo coo, maybe one of these days I'll probably tag along with you guys and watch how the pros do it.. I just don't want to go and end up not being prepared barrowing sh*t from other riders... thanks bro..

:woot: All I have to say is that both you and Jerry looked good out there. Watching from the balcony you guys looked pretty solid going in and out of T4. It was pretty exciting watching you guys catch up to some of the riders from the first wave. Good job

Congrats on your first race! :D
