Yeah, I was just wondering how it compares to the other guys. Like Ohlins, Penske, and Fox.

Don't think you could go wrong with any of the three you just mentioned. They're just tried, true and worth the $$$.

I have the Ohlins rear, setup by DK and am very happy with it. I am just kinda intrigued by this Elka company and what do to their components.

Some racers with RC51s are going with them. They are going with them because Elka supposedly builds the shock totally customized for the rider's specifications.

They certainly have nice features:
High and low speed compression adjustability
Rebound adjustability (compression not affected)
Ride-height adjustability
Easily revalved and rebuilt
Dynamometer-tested
16 mm (5/8") diameter shaft
Threaded shock absorber body for preload
High tensile chrome silicon springs
Hard-anodized
Stainless steel spherical bearings
I like this one also, with the remote resevoir.

I think it'll gain a lot of customers! Just like GPR Stabilizers when they came out, they looked like Scott's SD, and they sell and function very well. So it shouldn't be long before we'll see there rear shocks in mags. :D

I have read alot of bad things about GPR. Even a good friend of mine told me not to buy them, and his store sells and distributes them, HMMMM.

Me like!! How does the price compare to Ohlins? With the customization factor it's got to be worth it. Kinda makes you feel like a factory rider.

It looks like you have to ask for a quotation:

Maybe they do everything one-off as to provide the best service and product, sounds interesting. Now, I am really curious to how their products perform.

Haven't had a new mag since September but I'm dropping by Dre's place this weekend so I'll have to look it up.

Don't get me wrong, I want to support local vendors and manufacturers. But, I try to do a little research before spending that kind of money, and from what I learned, I should stay away from GPR. But then again, they are a new company, and alot of their faulty units could be early production models.
