Can you push start it instead? If you have a drive way, roll down and pop the clutch from 2nd gear. Just make sure ignition is on.

Thank you kindly. The driveway is very steep and pushing it up there is prohibitive. But I can get a car close enough to jump start. Is it possiblr?Would it do any damage?Do I observe any precautions?

if your kinda iffy about the drive way find a flat street and have someone give you a push while in second gear and pop the clutch worked for me
I'm not exactly sure why but, every time I've seen someone try to jump their bike with a car it kills the bike battery.
just bump start the bike. Difficult to do by yourself without the hill. Grab another person and have them push you down the street or better yet up the driveway.
ps. how old is the battery? recent use?
