I am trying to install a F2 Fox Shock (twin-clicker I believe, which should have ride height adjustability), but the damn thing is about an inch to half an inch too long! The bike is on jackstands by the rearsets off the ground.
Can I compress the shock somehow (doubtful)? Where is the dial for the ride height (on the top or bottom of the shock, on the reservoir)?

right now, the top part of the shock is installed. there is what i THINK is the preload adjustment near the top of the shock, and another dial near the bottom of the shock with i THINK is the ride heigh adj. I've turned the bottom dial clockwise as far as I can with my hand.

it should be on the bottom, you should try twisting the bottom portion and see if it shortens, also make sure that he didnt put any additional spacers in there as well
