Hi Ladies. As you know, I'm getting my gf into riding  and so I wanted to get your advice on some riding gear.
I was thinking of the Icon Tuscadero http://www.*****************/details/36-ICON05-1, but I'm not too sure.
She has a small frame (5'3"/120lb), and we're thinking about starting her off with a 250 cruiser.
Thanks for your help!

We actually got back from looking at that exact bike from Alba in Poway. She couldn't touch the ground though, so we decided to go w/ a cruiser. You wouldn't happen to be Asian, and a graduate from UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology ;)

Did you guys think of maybe a 250 ninja? I'm 5'3" and I fit on that bike real well.

hahahah. i'm 5'3" with really short legs and i don't fit on my bike very well... i started off with an ex500 which i really liked. i would recommend an ex250 too. besides, i really like kawasaki. but if you say she can't fit very well, the buell blast is even shorter. my mom (who is tall, actually) is looking at getting a virago. they're little. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products/unitinfo/2/mcy/4/24/0/yamaha_virago_250.aspx . oh, and it may just be a prejudice of mine, but i would go with gear that's a little more into safety and a little less into bling than icon. i have frank thomas textile cause it's superwarm and waterproof, joe rocket mesh, and soon to have alpinestars dyno when i figure out what size to get. good luck!
