tough shifting

how's it goin, i'm definately a newbie when it comes to bike maintenance. pretty much know close to nothing...was looking for a bit of help. my '93 cbr F2 is getting progressivley harder and harder to shift between gears. and finding neutral from either 1st or 2nd i next to impossible. also when i pull into a parking spot in 1st with the clutch still in and shut down the engine, i roll the bike either back or forward (still in gear with clutch in) and it doesnt seem to roll freely, as if the engine is holding it back. it kinda chuggs along. but when i shut of the engine its way easier to put into neutral and the bike rolls freely. any suggestions? anything would help.

what up im jeff. hey bud you might have broken friction plate or plates. i had the same problem and when i got my cluch looked at he told me they where glazed and one of the plates was broken. hope that helps.
and does your clutch slip and medium high to high RPM's? jeff out........... :shifty:

yea it might be the clutch. also, check your oil level and when was the oil last changed? check sprockets and chain for lost teeth and kinks while you're at it. do you lube your chain every 500 miles?

:oops: :hammer: SH*T every 500 milesyour suppose to lube it? been about 800 :nutkick:for me... BRB :slap: nobody tells me these things :(

I agree with Jeff, maybe you need to do an oil change...my gears get clunky when I dont do an oil change for a while...After the change...BUTTER

thanks for the info..got me to change my oil, something i havent done in a while. gptechman you were right...now its like butter baby. but the weird thing is that whole problem about shutting down the engine while still in gear and it lugging a bit when i try to push it stopped right after i posted the problme on this forum....weeeird.
