Are these statment's true about Exhaust wrap's?

-Increases horsepower, retains heat in header and exhaust pipe for greater exhaust velocity and reduced back pressure

-Reduces heat up to 70% in the engine compartment?cooler intake air means even MORE POWER

From what I understand it can cause the header to like rust up faster depending on the material and the like I think that's why a lot of people go for the heat coating instead.

I think it's called jet hot they do a ceramic coating inside and out and it does the same thing keep the heat in the pipe. Comes in colors and a chrome looking finish.

The theory is right, but its not breatheable so it holds moisture to the pipes causing rust and corrosion.

ceramic coating is the better option! and not that expensive either... there are also rattle can do it yourself kits
