took off Hugger/chain guard, What am I risking??
I am going to order a different hugger to replace my P.O.S Texas Fairing hugger( great undertails, unbelievably terrible hugger). Anyway, It's Sunday, and I want to ride a little. If I ride without a hugger, and a chain guard, what kind of risks am I taking for my bike, and myself/
Thanks
P.S Anyone know of a good place to get CF huggers that are less than 250.00?

you can find CF fenders on Ebay for way less than 250. They have CF fenders for my R1 starting at $49 each, here's a pic of one. The seller is ebargainllc.

Brian, you should be okay. Chain lube, when freshly applied, may fly here and there, but nothing to worry about...except when cleaning.
I've been riding without a hugger since... I've been riding. Your risking cutting your toes off if you like to tuck your feet under your tail while you ride.... You also get dirt in places. And I suppose it is possible that if the chain broke for it to wrap around your leg and pull your body into the sprocket and under the tire....
 I think you should be fine, go ride.

Don't try to scare the boy. There's no way that a chain can do that. What would likely happen is that if the chain did break, it would sever his left leg right above his knee making shifting and coming to a complete stop a little more difficult. No big deal really.
Ehh... not really  . I roll without mine, but then again, your TL is a lot more badass than my F3... :ha:

Ok, well I'm going to ride to base this morning. Thanx for the input everyone!
You guys are all crazy! with out your chain guard it to easy for everyone to see what gearing your running! Man! Kiddding. the k5 gixxer has two chain guards. I took both off but realized that the
heal guard was not enough to stop my heal from rubbing so the front guard is back on and rear is still off getting chain lube everywhere! danm have to spend more time in the garage with my bike :-)
