Being that I am still a newbie, I have a question that may seem stupid to some. A few months ago, I bought a bike that didn't have a chainguard. Today I was told by a friend of mine that I have to have a chainguard to be streetlegal and to complete a the military base motorcycle saftey course that I am required to take. Is this true?

:roflmao: J/K brutha! You don't need a chain guard to get a base pass or get on base for that matter.

I have no chainguard on my bike either. Although I'm looking to get one now, I don't want any chain grime getting on my new exhaust :D
