Don't know which turn the river turn is, but I believe this is the U turn (turn 4?) before the right hand U turn leading on to the back straight.
Must be an optical illusion (me making the bike look tiny) :errf: I'm only 5'10 173lbs or so

Thanks bengt! He said he only got 14 pics of me, but he accidentally sent me these 3 in hi resolution, I converted them to jpg to save on size. man, I've been thinking about selling my rc51 to get a 600, but after looking at those pics, I don't know......
How hot did your bike run? did you run water wetter? What do you think, sell the rc & get a 600? I've been thinking about club racing....I'd like to do 600, but maybe I can go ducati hunting in the big twin class......
Is it me, or am I wearing too much alpinestars gear? Maybe I should cover the shoei on my helmet w/ an a* sticker?

Noooooooo! Don't sell the RC man... That bike is too much fun to give up... Yeah, go duc hunting instead :)
My bike ran great until the last session when I hit 252 degrees and I slowly worked my way back to the pits. By then I was spent myself and needed to call it quits anyway. Yes I ran water wetter, it's running a good 15 degrees cooler than with regular coolant.
Your gear looks great, don't change a thing!

True, it is fun to ride, and I LOVE passing ducs.....especially passing them in the shop when they're getting their valve adjustments every 100miles. Plus I've got a 15/41 520 conversion coming tomorrow & my sato rearsets & some new front rotors.....I need better pipes though, or just tune my piggy.
Bengt, what bike did you have before your 05 RC? How do you rate the two +'s & -'s of both.
I've got a buyer & a set of track skins lined up....I gotta make a decision!
I'm going to streets on 7/31 & buttonwillow on 9/5, is anyone going those days?

The RC is a super fun bike, but heavy. Having put 30k + miles on mine, you will learn to appreciate other bikes when you ride them.
The 15/41 conversion is a great mod, but nothing beats an Ohlins shock for overall improvement :).

I've owned a GSXR750 ('85) and a GSXR1000 ('02). The GSXR1000 is a great bike for sure; tons of power, but for me it's not all about the power/speed anymore. The RC just has the soul & sound that I love :) Having said that, I would love to try a 600 on the track, the new Kawi 600RR seems to be the ticket! Never took any of the other bikes to the track, so kind of hard to compare.
