Hey hey,
I was wondering how the ocean fog that often rolls in at night by UCSD affects a bike that doesn't have a cover. I'm thinking about bringing my bike out for the last quarter, though I don't want it to get beat to death by the moisture. Any views on the subject?
Thanks

Keeping it on campus? I had my bike on campus last quarter with a cover and the fog did get my bike mighty moist at times. Although the cover I was using was damn near worthless as it was a hand me down from way way back in the day. Nonetheless, you do get the moisture from the fog on campus.

I was kinda worried about rust, mainly. Where my bike is right now the humidity is always around negative 10%.

I left my ninja out freshman year for spring quarter without a cover in the Marshall Uppers parking lot and the fog raped and pillaged my bike. It got a nice coat of rust on it, however I didn't do a damn thing to maintain it.

Yeah, I forgot the mention that my chain got ate up like a soup sandwich. There was so much rust on it after leaving it there after not riding it for awhile
