Streets 9/2 Who still needs a Spot???

[EDIT] Sorry for modding your post, Aaron. Just wanted to clarify to our members how the last group is going to run. The last group is going to comprise of racers and generally very fast guys. No matter what we call it, Express Plus, Super, Duper, Ludicrous - the people in this group are used to passing on the inside and outside.

As a rider you will have to make your own call about whether you will be comfortable in this group. GPTech, Lost, and Bodmaster are doing their best to try to accomodate as many members as possible WITHOUT compromising your safety.

For that reason, the groups will remain at 25 riders each. With the fastest group allowing "race" maneuvers.

If you have your name on the list below we will be in touch with you to see which group we can fit you into. However, please be understanding if there is no more room as the session size is set for YOUR safety.

If you still need a spot for 9/2, please post up here. What Will is looking into doing is to make two express groups. There are only 6 Super group riders and that leaves 19 spots open. If we make an Express and Express + or something we can open up 19 more spots. We need To make sure that the other 5 super group riders are fine with this. Let me know what you think!

Why don't they just split it into a 2 group format? 30 min per hour would be sweet... I don't know if that'd be too many people on the track at one time though. Actually nvm, it would be clusterfvck at the chicane area.

A track day is a track day, regardless of who is hosting it. There's a steet, sport and race group set up. You don't see Trackdaz, CalSportbike, Fast Track, Take it to the Track, MTC making changes. Besides, I think Race group is going to have less traffic then Express so I think it's actually a better bet. So far there are only 6 people in race compared to express thus making it less congested.

I approached Will with this so its nothing he is proposing, but he is willing to go along with it. I kinda figured since it is a club event that we would try to get as many people as possible out there. Its the same thing basically as bumping a few of the faster people up into the super group. If people are against it then we will not do it.

Again, I can not reitterate how many times and how far in advance that this trackday was posted. Just because that the trackday is predominatly Hypercycles, does not mean that we can modify or alter the format. If we are to do it again next year we might be able to get the money and actually pick a day to have it. Even then, if you do not pay soon enough and spots go, then unfortunately you are also out of luck.

Unfortunately thats just the nature of the beast and thats why people post up their yearly schedule.

SOW is a technical track and Ive only been on it once in June when I lowsided in the bowl. I ride nowhere near the way I ride big track. I'd hate to get in the way of the fast guys *ahem*Arnold*ahem*.

If super is such a small group and it stayed small i would not mind bumping up to it, allowing more room for people to sign up..but I have a feeling as the day aproaches the number on super will get bigger.

im not that fast, but with that much track, im sure the fast guys can get around me pretty easily, i consider my lines consistent. ive ridden with arnold, bryant, aaron, josh, ray, marvin- and if thats half the super group, i feel confident in their riding level/style-- and that i wouldnt cause 'too much trouble'. with that said, if super group fills up, or if any of the 'fast guys' are uncomfortable with this, ill stay in the express group.

Dude, stop pu$$yfooting around and bump up to the fast group. You and my brother should move up. That way you can free up some spots in the ever-so-coveted express group. I personally like having more people in the fast group. Makes it more fun if you ask me.
