Yerp. I got the 636. Assuming I get my rear tire re-skinned before then, count me in. Got a nail in it on the way back from Palomar last weekend. :grr: Don't trust tire-plugs over 60mph or in the corners which means leather pants will have to wait another couple weeks.

Ha...we should see about having that Save option turned off by default...not like any of us want to keep our sent messages....and if you want to keep them for later legal recourse (like: "Arnold, this is your last warning before I press charges. Stop grabbing my ass on rides.") then you can click the checkbox...I'll post up in the Site forum about it.

Zeal, have you checked out *********? They've gotten in quite a lot of women's riding gear including leathers and have pretty good prices. Still looking to get some other boots but they said that they could order me several different ones in my size so that I could try them on and see what I like.

Winter route usually takes a little longer, I would say if we go at a decent pace and don't make too many stops, I would say more 3PM....its a long route and with lunch I would say 3-4....thats my guess

Do you know approximately when this ride will end, time and the last destination (without considering Palomar)? I just read on SCS that tight side of Palomar is "under-construction".
Also post it up there as well. I bet there will be more riders then :D

hmmm lets see, if all of us decide to go to palomar, we'd be there 11:30 - 12 depending on how long we hang out in the desert :)... so if the tai-side is closed ... we could run up and down the fasside and just head out to couser canyon or come back through Cuyamaca which is of course beautiful! I just love headin out to Borrego. After that, it's all gravy baby. :-p
looking at a 3-4pm finish time, but I'm sure some might not be able to go the whole way. Some will split off early... If not, I'd be happy to run anyone back to familiar ground after borrego, no prob, if you have to go. :)
thanks for the idea... but no need to post on two sites... if there were just three bikes or twenty I'd be stoked... both are fun, but smaller ...say two groups of 6 or 8 is I think better ;)

I would love to ride up till borrego. I would prolly be extra careful considering I need to get used to the new bike. I know all of you are advanced riders, so can I just ride last pls , that way I wouldnt feel guilty abt holding somebody back :)

02-11-2004, 11:36 PM
seriously you won't hold anyone back... you'll see. we're not all about going fast. :) One group will run... but really most will just chill. someone will be designated sweeper (usually with a chat box) that'll make sure we all make it to the next stop :)
you'll have a great time, just have to go and see.

So they're gonna send ups for pickup monday... sorry to get you all excited LV ;)

I'm not gonna make it. Made local plans in the morning to go hiking and help my friend with slow-speed maneuvering.

Sorry all, my participation in this ride is a negative :( . I gotta go up to Los Alamitos so I won't be back down in SD until the afternoon. On the upside, I get to wake up at 0600 :) If their is a Sunday ride, that's the one time I can go this weekend for sure.

Ugh....I'm still sore from that ride....damn that was a long way.
Big ups to John for setting up this ride and to Sean for babysitting the crashers (and broken down).
You guys who bailed need to buy Sean lunch next ride because he missed out on grub when we stopped.
Time to go clean the bike. Laaate
