this is the side that was replaced. i have to repaint the red stripe and get more decals made to match the other side. also got some chips in the lips of the rims that i have to retouch.

thinking about just getting a carbon fiber cover to fit over the stator cover to cover up the scratches. anything else i can do to cover this up other than buy a new one?

brake side rearsets w/ braided lines. FYI: i dont know if this is the case with all aftermarket rearsets, but the stock lines would not mesh with the new rearsets so i HAD to get new lines.

if you go to
www.kawiforums.com
they're having a group buy for the carbon fiber cover. it's $100 shipped. it should still be going on. i'm gonna order mine within a week or 2.
oh yea, the bike looks clean. i like the red stripe and matching rims. nice touch.
plus the exhaust, that's something i've never seen on a 636 before.

I would go billet! For 150-180 you should be able to score a race quality cover that will survive several crashes. I got one after my turn three issue (read "crash"), a few months back. I swear its like an inch thicker and its all billet goodness. The one i got was a white buffalo, but there are a bunch of nice ones out there!
