Went by Fun Bike today to change out my grips, charged me $19 by the way, and saw the new 2004 GSXR600 and Hayabusas, very sweet. =)

Problem was 4 different people tried to get my bar ends off with no luck and no one had the needed tool to get them off so had to take them into the shop to do it.

Besides the stupid little "S" that they stuck on the tank (the new SV has it too).... it's a damn good looking bike.
Somebody buy one so we can all try it out :D

Because I'm new to the forum or because you think I'm a new rider. Probably had my M1 endorsement on my license before you were born, j-man. About 15 years now.

Hey Gixxerx8, Josh was just saying to introduce yourself in the "newbie" section cause thats what people do around these parts...
new to riding or not....you are "new" to us on the board
welcome and congrats on the bike
:D
Today I had a dentist appointment in La Jolla, so I went to work with the SV after 2 weeks riding the sixxer. WOW, I redlined it twice, it feels like a farm tractor compared with the gixxer!
Not trying to offend my beloved SV, because I still love her  but they are two completely different bikes.
One thing that I still do better with the SV is to quickly launch from traffic lights. with the SV is just open the throtle and release the clutch. You have to be more carefull and do it properly with the gixxer, but I'm improving, 30% of launches I'm doing right and not feeling that valley of power when you release the clutch.

Gixxerx8 aren't gixxer 6's for women. And if you had your license 15 years ago you must be hella OLD!! Welcome Newbie!!!

Got it. Will intro myself into 'newbie' section to forum. Thanks all.
Hypersport...get a clue. Just because you ride that dinosaur of a bike, you don't have to be such a prick. You should actually change your name 2 hyper-pork. 2 lobster dinners at the boatthouse?...dude, you're a pig. Wassup Mikey. :D
Unfortunately, in case it isn't obvious yet, hypersport is someone I must say is an acquaintance of mine...who wishes he had a gixxer 6.

That 04' is sure pretty sweet. I was actually torn between the GSXR600 and the 600RR. Tough choice but I couldn't be happier with the 600RR.

Oh and speaking of riders with an M1 endorsement for 15 years I think there's a certain "ol' fart" out there who goes by ono_gsxr with the same amount of years under his belt. One think I know for sure is that no matter how many years you've had your M1 endorsement you're always learning.

I'm a squid at heart so I'll learn from all of you. Sorry for the misunderstanding to all earlier on the thread.
Peace.
