Sad to say, but that puts the Repsol 1000RR to shame.

And this statement appears to be more than true, "At Yamaha, there’s more to building a race replica than a few stickers." That is one bad a5s production bike.

Honda definitely has their work cut out for them :errf:

Yeah right, thats what they said about the Repsol too, but over 1500 made it to the states. Its a great marketing tool though...

Yeah! It's about time Yamaha equipped R1's with March-cheesy rims and Ohlins equipment since Yamaha owns part of the Ohlins name! :woot:

Def a sick bike! I talked to my guy and he said that depending on dealership sales, dealers will get between 0-2 LEs when they are released.

Supposedly I am first on the list at my dealership, but I am not one of their VIPs by any means so I have a feeling that I may get booted even though I made a deposit on it. :errf:

I’m glad I switched over. The bike looks sexy but the tail section looks kind of odd how the strips just hang.

Do these Japanese manufacturers try and out do each other every year. Last year was the new Kawi 636 now Yamaha R1/R6.

Dang, Yamaha makes it harder and harder for me to keep dreaming about that Agusta..

I'm kinda bummed they didn't come out with a "big bang" motor tho :/

Hmm, the Jap bikes tend to be slow at some things....2001...

...I am diggin' the retro yellow and black paint scheme. I think I like the R6 better with it's MotoGP style exhaust.
