how much of a beginer are you? Says you had a R6 in you profile on the left. Have you ever ridden canyons before?

I would start out just riding the 67 or Telegraph at the recommended speed limit during non- peak traffic hours

yeah i rode hwy 9 up in the bay area often when i had the R6, but that was 3 years ago. just getting back into again, and i've never ridden palomar or any canyon runs in SoCal. i'm looking for routes that I build up on.

I think the best road to practice for palomar is Palomar. Just take it slow and at your own pace cuz the more you hit it, the better you will be.

Just take 805S to Telegraph... Head east on Telegraph and after a few miles it becomes Otay Lakes Road and eventually ends at the 94.

Just go to Palomar on a weekday... no other bikes around and no pressure to keep up. Not much traffic either.
