Middle weight superbike, middle weight supersport, heavy weight super bike and unlimited gp. I registered about 2 months ago so hopefully I will be on pole for a few of the races.

i was going to go... but bike needs servicing so don't have time to get that all done since I just got back from CCS Vegas. (back to back race weekends aren't good for the wallet either!)

You should do well since the attendance really seems to be dwindling...

I believe Saturday would be the trackday/practice day. I think it's only $75... not sure though.

Clear Channel is getting rid of CCS Southwest, but the people who were running it started their own business and will be a CCS affiliate. I think it happens in November... here's their new site: www.roadracesw.com

thanks for the headsup on roadracesw VeeJay. I hope they run it next year too and maybe do some Cali tracks again. So we have to pay for Sat practice now? In the past, I know we were suppose to pay but somehow, I never did.

I heard that track is gnarly technical and short. ANyone have a map of the layout?

It's 1.2 miles with 10 turns. one of the turns is a bus stop. I only rode it once but I was did pretty good lap times so hopefully with this being the second time on the track, I can cut a little more time off.

Wow what a weekend. Quick highlights.

Did something I haven't done in 4 years. Crashed on the first practice on Sat morning. Nothing major, got the bike up and running before second practice. During practice, best I did was 1:03.30. Not too bad for the second time ever riding the track. 1st race got 4th place (1:02.191 lap time). 2nd race, put a new rear tire on and was on the way to another 4th place when I get punted off the track. Come back on for 6th place (1:00.9). 3rd race. Crappy start and into t1 in 7th place. Fought my way back to 3rd place in the end (1:00.60). Last race. Good start, 4th into t1 and 2 experts infront of me and 1 amatuer. Going into t4, I out braked one of the experts and he turned in ontop of me. we swapped paint but didn't go down. I get going again and take the position from him but another guy passed me. I got him back before the end of the 1st lap and me and the leading amatuer are gapping the rest of them. Ended up taking 2nd in the race, 3rd overall but best thing was, I posted a 0:59.~ lap time which ended up being the fastest lap of the race!

Green '04ish R1 with a red tail by chance? There was a guy out there with that color scheme. He was pretty quick too. I don't know though, green R1....isn't that sacrilege? I'm debating about the Nov 19th race. It's on the west course and I do pretty well on that track. I'll definitely race more with them next year. I like the new owners and the way they run things.

I love the west track. I think it's so much fun and to me, it flows better than the east track.
