broke my throttle grip coz i was trying to fix my throttle cable (it was loose from my crash at SOW - then finally came off yesterday when i was doing my maintenance - sux!).. so now i have to change the cable, throttle grip and the start switch coz the thread stripped for it - it should be easy but tedious coz i have to take off my tank cover, my fuel tank and my airbox to get to the cable... but oh well... good thing it happened now not while im on the track

Looks like I lost track of this thread. I just checked it and had to red 6 pages of posts. I got back from BW Monday night and it is just as fun as I remember. I can't wait to go again on the 20th. HRC was up there in full effect!!!! I passed a Honda test rider in the long sweeper on the back side. He passed me a few laps later, but that's not the point. Honda had the track rented out all day on Tuesday so Jake and Miguel could do some testing. It was sweet checking out the factory truck. I wish I had my camera to take some pictures.

I don't think I have met anyone that is going on the 20th, but I would like to pit with you guys if that is okay. Where do you usually pit at?

I just went yesterday to BW. The weather is near perfect! I had a garage and encourage you guys to get one. You could comfortably fit 5-9 bikes in a garage with seats, tools, equip. I'm not sure how much a garage costs at BW exactly...

By the way, funny how a turn of events can end up positively. While I won't be making this track day event, I was called today and informed that a spot opened up for superbike school on Sunday so I'm actually going to Level III. I don't expect the school to be as rigorous as an open track day, so I think my bike should be fine. I'm slow anyway.

the word is it "MIGHT" be done 2morrow. i thought the seal was the only problem... but the fork is actually bent. i have work till 3pm 2morrow. i've taken that bike apart stripped it down to its frame so many times... so its not a matter of help putting it on.. its a race against the clock.
i feel like that one jesse james show. so ima say my prayers 2nite and hope for the best. regardless...F3 or not... we're ALL gonna have a good time!

Time for the summary:

This was the day of crashes! We had 10+ crashes throughout the day. Most of the crashes were in the B group.

I think the majority of the guys that pitted with me felt pretty crappy in the 1st session. I felt like I would never learn the track. We were pretty grumpy after the 1st session.

2nd session was a blast! For 2 hot laps... Crashes ended our session REALLY quick.

3rd session was even more fun than the 2nd! For 1 hot lap... A retard on a supermoto decided to stuff Pablo from socalsportbikes on the inside in the last corner to start/finish. In that attempt to stuff, he lowsided. In seeing this, Pablo tucked his bike and broke his collar bone. IDIOT!

4th session came around. FINALLY A FULL SESSION! Ryan was doing a hell of a job creeping up on me as I tried my hardest to pull away. HELLZ YEA BOY!

The rest of the day was a blur. LOTS OF FUN. More crashes but whatever, none of our HC boys went down (I think).

DIRT RIDING IS FUN!

Oh yea, to top it all off, James decided to run out of gas on the track TWICE! YAMAHAHHAHAHA! ;)

:shifty: um..... yeah..... twice.... the last session I was able to coast on to the track exit lane, but as you can see from that pic, I had to assist the motorcycle to the paddock. I am glad we pitted near the exit.

I am still slow dude. I am an average rider, and I am trying to make it to "racer level" by next year. There is still SO MUCH work for me to do. You can be faster yourself, trust your tires and trust your abilities. Most track days you can get an instructor to help you out, all you have to do is ask. I spent the entire last session riding with Zoran (1 of the instrustors and pretty much THE authority on SV650's) It was great and I didn't even ask.

dayam...i didnt get to ride with you guys... last session, tried to creep up on you guys but got held up in traffic, so i went to the hotpit and try to catch up to you guys... next thing i know, you guys were hauling on the str8 away, so i tried to catch up, you guys were already exiting t2, when i was still in t1... so just kept trying, when i finally got close enough, just saw james go to the dirt, then, charlie followed on the next turn...i was like - WTF!!! caught up to ryan but we exited (it was the last lap of the session)...
my friend chris crashed and got it on video... too bad he didnt get the 2nd crash on film... that wouldve been hilarious! LOL
ray, ehly, chris and monks - everytime i try to keep up with you guys, dayam... you guys seem like you get faster and faster... i need get bigger balls and just go for it...
