Girls take over a Track Day!!

At the last ladies get together, I enthusiastically encouraged the girls to do a track day for several reasons.
1. It's a safer environment for honing in your riding skills (no gravel to worry about or things jumping out in front of you, ambulance standing by *in case*).
2. There are wonderful instructors there to give you pointers and lead you around the track to get you familiarize. You can follow their lines and mimic their body positioning.
3. And it's just a lot of fun!!

So, with that, I proposed that all the girls get together and take over a track day. The only problem with that is that some of the girls (Erin, Honey, and B) do not have all their gear. I was thinking that Dec. 11th @ streets would be perfect but with being close to the holidays, it might be harder to get funds to purchase all the necessary stuff. So, I've put up some choices on which track day the girls should take over. Post up and Vote. I'm willing to help you out if you need stuff. Just let me know, and I'll do everything in my power to get you on the track! :thumbsup:

Lin... I would say wait to early next year. Maybe they will get some gear for XMAS (or other winter holiday). When you try to rush it, people flake. I assume Fontana is with FastTrack and they have a really good beginer school (from what I have heard) only down side to that is that they are pricey.

After you've changed your tires and provided you don't need to do stuff like sparkplugs...

Then it shouldn't take longer than hour and a half to change the oil, disconnect the lights, tape the lights and load the trailer.

I usually go w/ the fam to the long beach show... hmm depending on when I get my bikey done, and whose all going to long beach etc... I could either come back to san diego after Long beach and finish up bikey and tow everybody... or I can prolly convince the parental units in Ventura area to house a couple peeps.

Mr truck can fit 2 bikes in back, and then if we borrow kellys trailer whatever that can hold :) people wise it fits 2 nicely and 4 uncomfortably.... of course that doesn't include gear ;)

any help would be great! that weekend Im planning on going to the LB show sat, so depending on your schedule and such I could do it friday evening or sat evening if we dont do the stay up north after long beach thing....or if there is a better time for you :)

I think all I need to do is the water wetter stuff, maybe tires (done at buymoto?), unbolting everything... no oil change or anything like that. Lemme know whats your schedule so your not going too much out of your way. :thumbsup:

Just a thought... one of you kids may want to host a maintenance day. We did this before the September 2nd trackday so we could all get our stuff in order.

P.S. I'll bring my camera, so I'll try and get some good shots in. Ladies, you're more than welcome to wear Halloween costumes (ahem...Lin...ahem Erin) around the track for one session if you'd like. I'm sure it'd be okay with Trackdaz. :wink:

That comment was made to me by a woman at the STAR school. It was after the track session in which she passed me on the outside of turn 2 at Pahrump, knee on the ground, leaving black on the pavement.

Only person in the street group I couldn't pass or keep up with. So if ya got a problem with the statement, talk to her. :P
