View Full Version : The other new bike - why keep 'em for more than a few months?

I picked this guy up about a month ago for super cheap. It's totally stock 'cept for the slicks I slapped on it. Took it to Buttonwillow naked... man my neck was sore from all the windblast. What an awesome bike right out of the box! The brakes impressed me the most, I was braking deeper than all the guys in the intermediate group and no fade throughout the whole day on stock brake lines! The only complaint I have is that the front likes to headshake coming out of turns, but then again, BW is bumpy in a few places and I didn't even touch my suspension settings. First thing I'm going to do is buy a damper. Otherwise, great bike, now I know why it's so popular!

I'm going to keep the zx6r for now and sell the VFR750 for about $1300 if anyone is interested.

The bike was a theft recovery, the gas tank lock was fcked up and the bike lock/ignition broken. Had to get it rewired so it now starts w/o a key. It's a 05.

I recommend a steering damper. -=o) you should know that by experience.

Do you plan on keeping this bike? Congrats Jeff!

I don't know Jeff, I like building a rapport with my bikes, but that is just me :-P.
