hey guys, I have a question, I have an R6 and I was wondering, actually I have two questions, I need some help. First of all, what kind of pipe do you guys recommend for me as far as name brand. and Secondly, where could i find the cheapest leather gear.... HELP! and thanks everyone!
As far as a pipe, just get whatever one sounds the best to you. There really isn't a HUGE difference pipe to pipe in hp gains. Get the one you like.
If you haven't already, I would get a PCIII before you get a pipe. A boost in hp is only good on the straights. A smooth powerband is going to help you a lot more. If you do get a pipe, you may need a PCIII anyways to fix ur mixture settings as the EFI may not be able to compensate for it. A PCIII will give you hp gains with the stock pipe alone.
For leathers www.buymoto.com ! :guitar:

Check www.newenough.com for leathers if you're looking to save some money, but be sure you know what size you wear in a given manufacturer's cut before you take the plunge.
IMHO, save the money you'd be spending on that exhaust slip on, and put it towards the leathers... the CHEAPEST leathers aren't necesssarily the best leathers for you personally. Find ones that FIT properly and you'll be much happier in the long run.

if you cna find something used for leathers thats an option
I was able to find "used" leathers- still in the plastic, for 1000 bucks I got a 1 piece speedmaster suit, speedmaster gloves, speedmaster boots, and a spine protector. and they are a perfect fit, and were all brand new
and from what Ive seen of these 1 piece suits, you can crash in them more then once

Graves and Akrapovic (full system) works good on Yamaha's. I got a joe rocket suit and it did its job when I went down. Ku****ani makes great custom leathers, I'll try those next.

I would recommend avoiding a Micron high-mount. I currently have this pipe on my bike, and the pipe gets in the way of my foot. To position my toes on the peg, I have to tuck my heel in behind the pipe.
Also, don't forget to pick up a back protector (you may want to do this before buying your leathers to make sure you and the back protector fit). I'm really happy with my Velocity Gear BP that I purchased here:

I went with the $129 full armor option. You can zip the BP out of the rest of the armor and use it by itself.
