Anyone know if there are specifically made tail bags for specific bikes? I.e. 2005 GSX-R 600?
Thanks,
Thomas

First grab rails and now tail bags? Me thinks you don't realize you bought a sport bike.

No, I did buy a sport bike, but I will also be using it for commuting (tail bag) and also to bring the G/F around every once in a while (grab rails).
Trust me, I've been throwing it around the twisties, been having alot of fun on it and will continue to have fun!!! I'm still learning, but it's coming quick. Pretty soon, I'll be dragging knee like the best of them!
Oh, I've had the bike for about a month, and she's got 1500 miles on her now. Today was the first day I've commuted. 1500 miles of canyon carving fun!!!!!

Well, picked up a Coretex Sport Tail bag today. Pretty nice. Not too big, not too small. It's held on by bungies, but it has a rubber pad on the bottom to keep it from sliding around, which was the problem with the duffle bag and net bungie set up.
Yes, it is a sport bike, but I'll also be using it for commuting, which will require me to have a little cargo room for my day planner and clothing. I wasn't wanting a tank bag or a backpack because it would interfere with the operation of the bike. Not a good thing for a beginner.

Yep, that was me. Speaking of FBC, I'm kicking myself for not waiting to buy until now. Those new 06 Gixxer's are looking awesome...
Think the stock muffler from the 06 would bolt up to an 05?
If you could do me a favor, check tomorrow if it's got the same bolt pattern when you go in if you're working tomorrow.
The bag was 59.99, and I'll see about attaching an image...

Thanks, not bad!
I doubt the 05/06 exhausts are going to be interchangeable, the whole cat/muffler system is under the body and even if it did fit, would probably require serious fairing modification.

I think I know what you're talking about. The 600 had the really tiny exhaust, but the 1000 has a can much like last years, but shaped like this years. it's about the same size, and looks to be the same mounting.
Hof-Rock, maybe I should specify: Could you check to see if the 06 Gixxer 1000's exhaust is similar in bolt patterns (muffler only) to the 05 Gixxer? I really liked the can on the new 1000, and if it fits, will come down this afternoon....
Sorry to get off topic...

Yup, and a stock can from suzuki will run you as much as an aftermarket, with no performance gains, most likely costing you some performance. There are a lot of exhaust options for your bike out there, I wouldn't go with a stock can off a different bike. Just my opinion, I'll be happy to order you whatever, but the 1000 exhaust won't work on your bike.

Thanks. I just like the design of the new can on the 1000. Looks all futuristic, without going lame and sticking it under the tail. They really used it as art on the bike!
So, is there anything out there like it?
I guess this could be on topic, as we're still talking about tail here...:shifty:

I have contacted Yosh to inquire of the TRC exhaust application for my 750 and they tell me it is currently only available for the 05-06 K. I like it because it is shorter then most however they tell me that it would not work well if retrofitted to fit my bike (i actually considered doing it) being as it was engineered around the gixxerK. But they told me they do plan on having more applications to come for the TRC exhaust.
