Damn...I'd have to say from Oxnard to San Diego! My maintenance was worked in with part of the deal when I financed through HOM in SD, that was before I took orders to Point Mugu. Anyways....it was time for the 11000 mile service on the gsxr 1000, so I drove from Oxnard to SD, it was hell! I was quite sore! My friggin right hand was buzzing for like a week! I had to ride back too! That was no joke! At least it wasnt raining. I went last month, thank GOD I dont put a whole hell of alot of miles on my baby...or I would be hating it! Got to go down there again at 15000 mile service...but that will prolly be in like 6 months! :guitar:

I used to ride from Fresno to SD every weekend before moving to SD a few years ago..Your bike is bye far more comfortable than my RC51...Try sitting on that thing for 4hrs..

Yea...thats a hell of a hump! I'm glad it was my gsxr 1000, and not a 600, my ass would be deformed! I think the secret is FREQUENT STOPS! At least once a hour.

Longest ride (and best ever) was MotoGP last year. The Tuesday after, Dissident, myself, and another friend rode from Monterrey in the morning down HWY 1, stops on the way and lunch, and finally made it into Solvang where we loaded the bikes up and drove the rest of the way to San Diego.

Certainly not the longest ride (maybe 200 miles), but one of the longest and best i've been on.

Going to plan a ride later this Spring from San Diego to San Francisco. Will be doing it on my Busa, which is more comfortable than a gixxer 1 or RC-51. But still no FJR.

This MotoGP coming up, we might just ride up and back the whole way. We'll see.

I dunno how you handled that...it only took one ride to Fresburg to make me say no more; granted it was Thanksgiving and freezing cold going over the pass and in the valley.

dude, my parents live in camarillo, its not that bad! :) i rode my gix 1000 there, took about 2 and half hours. hehe its all good, how do you like pt mugu?

anyway, longest ride for me was riding to phoenix arizona just for the hell of it with my girlfriend. it was pretty fun, except that she got heat exhaustion part of the way there...not enough water, but other than that, not bad at all! only took about 5 and half hours to go that far. the ride some people took to get to motoGP was far longer. some of them left here in SD and rode the entire distance to santa cruz to spend the night there with the rest of us. amazing...

My longest was Solana Beach to Laguna Seca last year for the GP straight through. It was almost 500 miles exactly with full leathers and a tent strapped to my back. I can't wait to do that again, although my RR is a lot less comfy than my 750 was.

I rode to Vegas from Point Loma on Memorial day weekend. It might not be as long as some of the insane-O rides I have heard about, but it was GRIDLOCK highway 90% of the way and I had to split lanes (even in Nevada) for miles!

Having that extra stress of worrying about whether a cager is going to turn into you and ruin your day makes the trip easily 2x as long!

I have rode to Baldwin Park LA from South Bay SD. With a 25lbs. bag strapped to my bike which wasnt all that bad (especially compared to some of post on here). The only thing was I got lost along the way and turned a two and half hour ride into a four ride. wasnt planned well hehe:squid: it was on my 02 GIX1000

Mr.@$$ of STONE!!

Sandi to Vegas and back on a weekend with highway gridlock was enough for me. Do it again if I had to though!
